Operational BIM management in service phase 5 for the administration building of FEGA & Schmitt in Ansbach, Germany/h4>
The electrical wholesaler FEGA & Schmitt, which belongs to the Würth Group, currently has 58 branches mainly in central and southern Germany. Now the headquarters in Ansbach is being built with a planned investment of EUR 16.5 million.
The aim is to enable employees to work continuously until the modern new administration building is fully ready for occupation. This will be built using a forward-looking timber construction method, with the aim of achieving gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council. The new administration building will provide 170 workplaces in the future. However, the modern office concept allows for a higher utilization rate, as workplaces can be variably and repeatedly occupied.
NUCE Consulting is in charge of the operational BIM management in performance phase 5, implementing the BIM standards for and with FEGA & Schmitt directly in the project in order to realize the digital added value through the BIM working method according to our principle KISS (“Keep it simple and smart”).
The investments reflect a clear and lasting commitment to Ansbach and the Franconian region, with which FEGA & Schmitt has always had very good experiences.
Participation in the BIM standardization roadmap
The active participation in the BIM committee of the DKE (DKE – VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V.) result ed together with FEGA & Schmitt in the collaboration on the standardization roadmap BIM for Germany. On the basis of the Standardization Roadmap BIM, the future strategic directions of standardization in the field of BIM are defined and thus form a framework for strategic BIM standardization.
The BIM standardization roadmap identifies prerequisites for the broad application of BIM in practice. This direct reference to practice forms the framework for proactive, strategic and purposeful standardization in this future field. The overview of existing BIM norms and standards is to be communicated and it is also considered how construction norms become “BIM-capable”.
The goal of NUCE Consulting, also in collaboration with the BIM responsible of FEGA & Schmitt, is to bring the developments of the digital construction site to the next level through the BIM work method and consequently to directly implement the digital added values in the areas of BIM & craft.
